A real estate developer purchased a vacant property in Sun Valley, Idaho that he divided into ten lots to sell. In order to increase their value, he hired Sander Architects to design a home on each lot. To date, four homes have been completed and six have been designed in concept. The design intention was to create modern, luxury homes at an affordable price. In order to achieve this, Sander Architects incorporated their “hybrid construction” system, which utilizes prefabricated metal building frames to save on cost. The steel frames are also very beautiful, so the architect and developer chose to expose them throughout each project. The frames allow for wide spans of glass, and views of the stunning landscape are captured at every opportunity. In my role as Project Architect, I oversaw the drawings and renderings for each project. I also assisted with interior design services in the selection of fixtures and finishes.
