A young, entrepreneurial couple with an international business purchased a home near the water in need of renovation. They travel frequently for work and sought to turn their west coast home into a retreat. Inspired by their stays at the Four Seasons in Hong Kong and the work of André Fu, they approached me to study a variety of renovation options in keeping with the spirit of this hotel. We incorporated warm wood, built-in cabinetry with LED lighting, and marble accents to create a style that the clients describe as “livable glamour” — elegant and serene without being too fussy or formal. One of the great joys of this project was helping people with a great eye for design make their vision a reality.
